Skin - Neil Mawson

The condition of skin on your fingers is very important to climbing. A huge amount of pressure is applied through a very small surface area of skin and amazingly most of the time it stays intact. Some times it doesn't.....

This was the outcome after my foot popped warming up on a grit slab at the Roaches last weekend. So Frustrating, my first problem of the day was my last for probably a week! It was a perfect grit day as well and all I could do was watch my mates climbing as I desperately tried to stop the bleeding.

Here's a picture of Caff trying Renegade Master at froggatt the day after.

Really keen to try this once my finger's better.
